Introduction

Hello, and welcome to all of you who have chosen to join me here at SLD (pronounced solid) Conversations. In this blog I will discuss a range of raw topics surrounding Christianity and emotional intelligence among men. These conversations will be guided by my own journey to emotional maturity, achieved through years of hard work traversing pain, sadness, self-doubt, and massive, decades long insecurities that cast a shadow over, and ultimately ended, my marriage.

No matter the circumstance you are in, regardless of the things that you have done, you are important. Bad choices and periods in our lives do not define who we are as people. What defines us is how we assess those choices and periods, how learn from them, and how we grow from them. The road to emotional maturity can be a ragged one, but it is a path worth taking. It is my prayer that you will join me in this journey.
